WWE Star "Pulled" From SummerSlam 2021?

A certain somebody wasn't on Friday's SmackDown; SummerSlam title match in doubt.

There's a genuine concern that Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair won't happen on this weekend's SummerSlam 2021 pay-per-view.

PWInsider Elite reported that Banks wasn't in attendance for last night's episode of SmackDown. That ended up being the case - Belair, however, did mention Sasha in passing, and promised to put the "petty, jealous, insecure little brat" in her place on Saturday night.

That was the only build WWE booked for their SmackDown Women's Title match, which seems odd considering it's a bumper WrestleMania 37 rematch. It's also worth noting that both women had been hauled off house show cards through the week for "unforeseen circumstances".

The plot thickened on SmackDown.

PWInsider still expects that Banks will show up in Las Vegas for SummerSlam and challenge for the gold. WWE sources did also tell them that the "word making the rounds" backstage is that Sasha may have been pulled from the show though.

This potential drama is all rather mysterious. Things will only become clear when/if the match actually airs on pay-per-view after all. If not, then major questions will be asked on social media about Sasha's immediate WWE future.
