WWE Star Turns Down Pitch... Gets FIRED

The Diamond Mine mouthpiece nearly managed a major main roster star.

Having been one of the NXT names released by WWE this past Friday, there's now news on what had been pitched for Malcom Bivens earlier this year.

As per Fightful Select, the now-former mouthpiece of Diamond Mine at one point had his name pitched as a possible manager for Omos. Of course, that spot eventually went to MVP, with Montel Vontavious Porter having aligned with the giant after WrestleMania 38.

Interestingly, Fightful also notes that LA Knight was another considered for this managerial position. Instead, the one-time Eli Drake has been quietly amassing his own Knight Model Management group in dark segments at recent SmackDown tapings. There, Knight has already added Mace and Mansoor to his ranks, and it seems only a matter of time before that burgeoning faction makes it to TV.

On the Bivens front, his contract was due to expire in early 2023. When offered a new, restructured deal - and despite several main roster pitches for him - the real-life Stokely Hathaway had no desire to re-up with the company.

This follows a somewhat similar pattern as Dakota Kai's recent release, with the New Zealander similarly having made it clear to WWE that she didn't intend to re-sign with the promotion.
