Just what's going on between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns behind the WWE curtain?

Roman Reigns has fired back at comments made by Cody Rhodes about the WWE duo apparently being kept apart whilst filming scenes for Street Fighter recently. The 'OTC' was speaking to TMZ Sports (reported via @WrestlePurists).

Addressing what Cody said about it all, Reigns stated: "The rumour is that he was requesting that". "He", as in Rhodes. Roman then teased that the WWE Champion was "a little nervous" when he heard that Reigns would be in town at roughly the same time to shoot his own scenes for the movie.

Elaborating, he added: "You know what it is. 'Tribal Chief' comes to town, he gets a little nervous. He don’t know what to do!".

There's an obvious playfulness to everything Reigns is saying here. He also went in 2-footed on WrestleMania 42 opponent CM Punk during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, thus continuing the Chief's own personal tour of bodying everyone he can think of before WWE's bumper PLE weekend next month.

The question is...are Rhodes and Reigns working here, or is there something bigger at play? That's the hot topic on everyone's lips. There's a very solid chance they know what they're doing, but some can't help wonder if there's some actual spice between the pair too.

Roman and Cody have been mortal enemies in WWE for years, but have also teamed up here or there since the former turned babyface. This is certainly something to keep an eye on post-'Mania, because Triple H might not be done with their feud after all.
