A whole host of current and former WWE stars have reacted to news that the company released 10 NXT talents on Friday night.

Malcolm Bivens, Dakota Kai, Persia Pirotta, Dexter Lumis, Harland, Paige Prinzivalli, Vish Kanya, Draco Anthony, Raelyn Divine, and Mila Malani were all released from contract during a busy purging period that naturally whipped up a storm on social media.

Raquel Rodriguez, who worked as Raquel Gonzalex on NXT, first put a broken hearted emoji on her official Twitter account. Later, Raquel also said that Persia Pirotta is "a powerhouse gem". That drew a heartfelt response from Persia herself.

WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix chimed in to call Dakota Kai "an outstanding talent" and "lovely human being". Similarly, Shayna Baszler called Kai "far and away one of the best wrestlers [she's] ever been in the ring with".

The praise didn't stop there.

Rhea Ripley posted a love heart emoji and picture of she and Kai hugging inside the ring. The pair became close friends during their time together in NXT, and most assumed that Dakota would join Rhea on WWE's main roster someday.
