WWE morale is on an upswing following news that Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, not Vince McMahon, will be handling 99.9% of the company's creative going forward.

Fightful Select reports that compared to the past 8 months or so, WWE has recently experienced "... a significant boost in optimism in recent weeks."

Most talent were never informed that McMahon had been making creative changes following his return to WWE earlier this year, though they knew it was going on. Additionally, Fightful states that personnel haven't been outright told that he is no longer involved.

Fightful states that McMahon's creative input in 2023 largely revolved around making remote changes to shows, rather than sitting in on meetings. The Raw after WrestleMania 39, which underwent major changes at Vince's behest, is the exception. Recent weeks have seen Vince's last-minute changes cease, for the most part.

WWE personnel are taking an "I'll believe it when I see it" stance on Vince being out of creative permanently. Nonetheless, one higher-up pointed to the 25 September episode of Raw as evidence:

"I think you can take a look at the show -- Johnny Gargano is back after his return was nixed. Tegan Nox is on the show. Dragon Lee is all over the program. Carlito is finally factored in after being under contract for months. Cameron Grimes got back on TV. Bronson Reed is winning matches. Tag team titles and IC titles are getting long matches to end Raw. I'm not going to say that all of those are direct results of the situation, but all of those parts moving at the same time is a little too much to be a coincidence for me."

One WWE talent commented that most roster members were relieved Vince was no longer involved creatively, adding that answering for the accused sexual abuser's behaviour wasn't what they'd signed up for.

The 78-year-old has paid out over $30 million in non-disclosure agreements and other settlements relating to allegations surrounding his personal conduct.
