WWE SummerSlam: 12 Predictions You Can Take To The Bank

2. Brock Lesnar Conquers The Phenom

Going by the old reverse momentum rule, Brock Lesnar is going to beat The Undertaker at SummerSlam on Sunday. He's been taken down by the Deadman on two occasions now, and while it's certainly still possible that The Beast will fall, that finish would do Lesnar (who appears on WWE programming far more regularly than his opponent) absolutely no favours in the long run. Does The Undertaker deserve vengeance for The Streak being broken? Perhaps, but him beating Lesnar will have been forgotten by the time he returns during next year's Road to WrestleMania. Lesnar and Heyman on the other hand will be able to boast about Lesnar once again conquering the man he beat at WrestleMania for the next two and a half years left on Brock's contract, ensuring that he retains his mystique and importance as a draw who is more dominant than everyone else on the roster. A loss for The Undertaker wouldn't hurt him at all, especially as he looks in great shape and will likely put on a hell of a show on Sunday. Lesnar winning makes more sense and is no doubt how things will play out at SummerSlam, especially with the Phenom likely set to utilise some dirty tactics to try and gain the victory. It's also easy to imagine the crowd turning against The Undertaker as the match progresses and he displays more and more heel traits against the now fan-favourite Brock. That will just make the Beast's ultimate victory all the more satisfying.
