WWE SummerSlam: 12 Predictions You Can Take To The Bank

9. Cesaro Vs. Kevin Owens Ends Up Being A MOTY Candidate

Both Cesaro and Kevin Owens are going into SummerSlam with something to prove. Rumours pointed to Owens being pushed down the card after his feud with Cena, but that doesn't appear to have been the case thus far as he's remained part of the main event scene on both Raw and SmackDown, even if he's not in the main event tier storylines. Meanwhile, Cesaro is once again breaking out of the box he's been shoved into by those behind the scenes, and SummerSlam is a stage he needs to impress on if he hopes to be given the chance to grab that brass ring. As a result, expect these two to deliver quite possibly not only the best match at SummerSlam, but also a genuine Match of the Year candidate on Sunday. They may not be going into Brooklyn with the most well-developed story or even a great deal of fanfare, but both of them have wowed fans in recent weeks and months with A* matches, so putting them in the same ring at the same time against one another feels like a guaranteed recipe for success. Owens and Cesaro are both hungry to rise to the top of the WWE roster and deserve to be there. Now, they're going to have the chance to prove that, and I for one have no doubt that they will.
