WWE Summerslam 2012 Preview - Will Brock Lesnar Destroy Triple H?

DOLPH ZIGGLER vs CHRIS JERICHO Finally, a match truly worthy of the historic Summerslam setting. Curt Hennig Vs Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels Vs Razor Ramon, Rock Vs Triple H and now Y2J one on one with Dolph Ziggler and we cannot wait! This will be the defining moment of Ziggler's WWE run so far and will either make him or break him as a main event star. His whole 'Money in the Bank' cash-in will rely on him pulling off a performance of a lifetime against an all time great competitor. Let's face it, if you can't have a good match with Jericho then you've got problems in this business. This may be the real main event. Prediction: Y2J is off on hiatus. Ziggler is next in line for a title run somewhere down the line. It's simple - Ziggler HAS to win and I'm certain Jericho feels the same way. SHEAMUS vs ALBERT DEL RIO - WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Yawn! I wish WWE would feed Sheamus a more threatening contender than Alberto. How many more chances will the injury prone ex-champ get before a new heel star emerges on Smackdown to contend with the Great White? Hurry back Mark Heny, we miss you! Prediction: Sheamus wins. Alberto gets ANOTHER chance at the next PPV. The World Heavyweight Title run of the big Irishman continues to be tainted due to a lack of legit opponents. CM PUNK vs JOHN CENA vs BIG SHOW - WWE CHAMPIONSHIP Come on WWE. You're sitting on something huge with CM Punk's is he/isn't he heel turn and playing a tweener role just isn't working. This has to be Punk's time to shine. If WWE isn't ever going to turn Cena then by God they need to turn Punk big time. He's a much better heel than he is a face, in fact his whole taking the title hostage/Summer of Punk angle started with Punk playing a heel, he only became a face when it started to get 'cool'. Cena continues to be denied the title and there's no point turning Punk if he's going to lose to Show. So let's hope that Cena looks set to get the win and Punk does something dastardly to retain. Prediction: Punk is headed to the Rumble to fight The Rock. It would be insane to take the strap from him this early. But could Rock get involved here? He hasn't retaliated yet for being attacked on RAW - but would they waste a Rock return on a none main event? BROCK LESNAR w/ PAUL HEYMAN vs TRIPLE H w/ SHAWN MICHAELS And so, on to the main event of the evening. Brock Lesnar is only his 2nd match since making his big return going against the COO of WWE in what will be a knock down drag out balls to the wall fight. Expect blood, expect massive stiff bumps and expect Paul Heyman to be put on his ass. What we don't know however is how HBK will impact on the result. Will he show up last minute and help Hunter get the win? Will he turn up and screw his best friend? Neither of these scenarios seem reasonable unless Shawn is planning a return to the ring to fight either man some time soon so let's go with Sweet Chin Music to Paul Heyman. Prediction: Lesnar's return match against Cena had the wrong result. It knocked the shine off his big come back and there's no way he should have lost. There's a very good chance that he will lose again today. If that's the case why would anyone want to see him take on Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania? If Lesnar cared more about his rep than his pay day then he might cause more of a fuss behind the scenes but I fear he just doesn't care enough to stop the Triple H train running him over at Summerslam.
