WWE SummerSlam 2013 Roster: Where Are They Now?

18. Dean Ambrose

Then: It's insane to think that Dean Ambrose was considered the possible breakout star of The Shield 10 years ago. Ambrose was almost a default leader due to his critically-acclaimed character work, poise and overall buzz. He'd lose to RVD on the Kickoff show by DQ, but retained the United States Title.

Now: Ambrose is no more, and "Dean" has returned to his roots as Jon Moxley. He's one of AEW's biggest stars, but also dabbles in eye-watering hardcore battles on the independent scene and over in Japan. Mox was visibly unhappy before leaving WWE in 2019, and says he's much more content where he is.

Less BBQ skewers to the forehead though, please.
