WWE SummerSlam 2016: 10 Shocks That Could Happen

2. Finn Balor Becomes First WWE Universal Champion

Without the demonic makeup and flashy theatrics of his entrance, it's been remarkable to see just how small Finn Balor looks next to some others on the main roster. These days, such a lack of freakish muscle shouldn't be an issue, but the Irishman is even smaller than natural-looking athletes like Seth Rollins.

Of course, Finn is also a world class piece of talent. There's nobody quite like him on the main roster at the moment, and that may prompt WWE management to go all the way with Balor at SummerSlam. There's every chance that he could be the first WWE Universal Champion, but some can't shake that niggling feeling that WWE will go with Rollins.

Seth is a proven commodity at the top of the card, not to mention a true workhorse. Both men deserve top titles in the company, but it's far more likely that Rollins will get the nod. Therefore, it'd be a slight surprise if Finn Balor was the man to pick up the victory.

Such a win would usher in the 'new era' of WWE programming nicely, with management proving they can get behind a new star.
