WWE SummerSlam 2016: 10 Shocks That Could Happen
3. Dolph Ziggler Shocks Dean Ambrose
At Money In The Bank this past June, Dean Ambrose cashed in his contract to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Since then, a lot has happened in the promotion, including the brand extension. Looking at things logically, Ambrose hasn't had a fair run on top of the mountain as WWE Champion.
There's little doubt the man should get more time to prove himself as the top titleholder, but he might not be afforded such a luxury by those calling the shots. If WWE are looking for a surprise result to pin down SummerSlam, they could do a lot worse than booking Dolph Ziggler to upend Ambrose and become new WWE World Champion.
The entire build for the match has revolved around Dolph acknowledging that he hasn't been able to crack into the main event pack permanently. Ambrose has, and plans to stay there, it's an interesting tale.
Whilst it's true that Dean Ambrose merits more time, Dolph Ziggler could be the one to end his title reign prematurely. WWE would have to really think about where they want to go from there if that happens.
