The Biggest Party of the Summer is over and it was nothing if not eventful. 13 matches took place last night and arguably every single one of them produced contentious moments, topics to discuss and interesting directions for World Wrestling Entertainment. But what did you think of the show?

The main event will be at the centre of most discussions, as any questions over whether Brock Lesnar would be punished or not were put to bed in a mauling that saw Randy Orton's blood make an appearance. Was making Brock look more dominant than ever the right decision, or is this another example of WWE kneeling in front of the Beast Incarnate?

Finn Balor (the Demon King, if you weren't aware) defeated Seth Rollins to become the first ever WWE Universal Champion, but Rollins' former Shield buddy Dean Ambrose was more successful in defending his WWE World Championship against Dolph Ziggler. The crowd were noticeably quiet for both matches though; are the WWE Universe done with Rollins and Ambrose?

AJ Styles picked up another win over John Cena, but possibly more shocking was Charlotte's regaining of the Women's Championship over Sasha Banks. Was WWE right to switch the belt back to Charlotte?

13 matches, a new champion, Jon Stewart and a whole lot of blood. What did you think of WWE SummerSlam 2016? Leave your comments below and let's get into it.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
