WWE SummerSlam 2017: Assessing The Potential Quality Of All 12 Matches
11. The Big Show Vs. Big Cass
Is the stipulation - for the second time this year, a performer (Enzo Amore) is set to be suspended above a shark cage - a rib at the expense of a man said to be afraid of heights, and more annoying fly than pro wrestler? That can't be true, come to think of it. Flies would have no trouble vaulting over the top rope.
That half-serious question is about as exciting as a match between Big Show and Big Cass gets. It feels like another rib - a continuation of the everlasting Big Show Vs. Kane rivalry, with, in true soap opera style, Cass playing the role of the Demon Mayor. Punches, kicks, a plodding pace, an exchange of power moves after a few minutes, the grim prospect of Enzo sneaking a microphone into his prison and blabbing throughout the entire duration (at least then, it wouldn't play out to funeral silence) - no good can come of this, surely.
Then again, if WWE are wheeling out the shark cage for a second time in one year, who's to say Show and Cass won't bust out a retread of the one entertaining Show Vs. Kane match: their ridiculous chain wrestling extravaganza?
