WWE SummerSlam 2017: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

9. John Cena Vs. Baron Corbin

Result: Cena blasts Corbin with the AA for the victory (10:15).

Rating: An interesting choice for an opener that had sure potential, but ultimately wasn't up to too much of interest, with both Cena and Corbin waltzing through their typical routines without much variation or energy.

It's clear from the ludicrous result that WWE has no confidence in Corbin now, with Cena's victory doing nothing for either man. Corbin didn't even look good in defeat and the match totally lacked the PPV feel you expect from Cena.

By this show's standards, it's pretty much mid-tier fare, but Corbin really should've won. 5/10
