Seth Freakin' Rollins has quite a SummerSlam history with on again off again pal Dean Ambrose. The Architect's first ever match at the biggest party of the summer came in 2014 against the Lunatic Fringe in a Lumberjack Match, following his famous turn against his SHIELD teammates.

Then Mr Money in the Bank, Rollins used the distraction of brawling lumberjacks to hit Ambrose with the briefcase to pick up the win. Fast forward to 2017, and the two that hated each other so much teamed together to defeat The Bar for the Raw Tag Team Titles.

Rollins' other two matches at SummerSlam that didn't feature Ambrose were even bigger. As World Heavyweight Champion, he took on US Champion John Cena in 2015 in a winner takes all match. With the help of Jon Stewart and a steel chair, Rollins took Cena's precious US title from him.

The only SummerSlam loss Rollins has to his name came against Finn Bálor in 2016 for the brand new Universal Title. More on that later, but suffice to say that The Architect didn't leave New York with the shiny red belt around his waist.
