WWE fans might have their attention firmly focused on this week's SummerSlam 2017 pay-per-view at the moment, but the company already have their sights set on next year's event.

As was originally revealed in the New York Post, SummerSlam is heading to Brooklyn, New York for the fourth consecutive year in 2018. The extended weekend will feature four shows in as many nights, with NXT TakeOver on August 18th, SummerSlam on the 19th, and Raw and SmackDown on the 20th and 21st respectively.

Though the NY Post broke the news, WWE have since followed up with an article on their own official website. The announcement comes days before this year's four-day run of shows, kicking off with NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III on Saturday, 19th August.

Holding SummerSlam at the Barclays Center has been a resounding commercial success for WWE. The event was first held there in 2015, and tickets have either sold out or come close to doing so almost as soon as they're put on sale every year. Los Angeles' Staples Center was SummerSlam's home prior to this, having hosted the event every year from 2009 to 2014.
