WWE SummerSlam 2021: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
8. Old Mates Get 5 Paltry Minutes
Drew McIntyre firmly believes that he can show a different side to Jinder Mahal's work and produce a scorcher at SummerSlam. Any Drew doubters out there have learned to eat big ol' slices of humble pie when it comes to the Scotsman (he was often the glue holding Raw together mid-pandemic), so who knows.
They won't stand a chance if WWE don't give them time.
McIntyre vs. Mahal could be a glorified squash. Jinder's mates Veer and Shanky have been banned from ringside for the pay-per-view match, and WWE are teasing that Drew's trusty sword "Angela" will come into play again somehow. Basically, Mahal has next-to-no-chance of coming out on top.
A Drew win is fine (albeit not this writer's preferred option) provided the bout lasts longer than five minutes. These dudes have a story to tell, and they won't be able to do that if time is short. Leave the five min gimmick to Bill Goldberg, please.
