WWE Superstar Stocks: 5 UPs & 5 Downs

1. Up - Dean Ambrose

This week, Dean Ambrose lost the Intercontinental Championship and if that isn't a sign that Ambrose is on his way up, then I don't know what is. Confused? Let me explain. Continuing to hold on to the title is a bit of a Catch 22; it gives off the vibe that he isn't a true main event talent. The gold may look good and it has definitely elevated his standing in the company over the last few months, but it is the final obstacle that stands between him cementing his position in the top-tier of Superstars. Losing the gold in a Fatal 5 Way signed by those villainous Authority members keeps Dean protected from looking weak and it creates even more animosity between him and Triple H. Ambrose is now 'free' to become number one contender to Triple H's title. Just a few weeks ago, Ambrose wasn't even worth a small bet for Fast Lane, but after some fantastic booking and engaging performances, Dean has well and truly overshadowed Roman Reigns to become the top face in this storyline. His lunatic antics, fearless approach to Brock Lesnar and the fact he nearly planted Reigns with Dirty Deeds on Raw have pushed Ambrose within reach of that 'Brass Ring'; all he needs to do is grab it with both hands. Ambrose's star is continuing to rise in an authentic way that is similar to Daniel Bryan's; will WWE dare to pull the trigger and give fans a fresh and exciting feud as we head to Arlington, Texas, or will we all groan when Roman Reigns stands victorious... again? Don't forget Brock Lesnar for a second, but as of this week, all eyes are on Dean Ambrose.
