WWE Survivor Series 2016: 10 Shocks That Could Happen
5. Dean Ambrose Turns Heel On James Ellsworth
Although James Ellsworth is not officially part of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series, he will act as a cheerleader of sorts for the blue brand. Expect all sorts of funny interactions between Ellsworth and AJ Styles around ringside. The same may be expected with Dean Ambrose, provided the 'Lunatic Fringe' doesn't annihilate his little buddy.
That's right, there is an opportunity to turn Ambrose heel at Survivor Series. Blatantly, things aren't really working out for him as a babyface right now. Dean is popular, that cannot be denied, but such popularity isn't transferring into anything remarkable. As a heel, he'd have a new lease of life.
Of course, Ambrose is set to battle AJ Styles at TLC on December 4. Maybe WWE will hold off on a heel turn until after that pay-per-view. It may be difficult to promote TLC's main event as villain vs. villain.
Still, what if Ellsworth unintentionally causes Ambrose to be eliminated at Survivor Series? One Dirty Deeds DDT would be all it takes for fans to boo. People, for whatever reason, love the mascot-like Ellsworth.
