There was a fair argument to be made before the event for Randy Orton turning his back on Bray Wyatt at Survivor Series. Such an act would have provided a fitting reason for Bray's elimination. Had Orton floored him with an RKO, Wyatt would have almost certainly been eliminated by pinfall shortly afterwards.

WWE decided against using this plot device, Randy is (for now, at least) still part of The Wyatt Family on SmackDown. Orton even went as far as sacrificing his own well-being to ensure that Wyatt didn't end up losing. Pushing Bray out of the way, it was Randy who suffered a Spear delivered by Roman Reigns.

One quick fire Sister Abigail later and Bray Wyatt was smiling from ear-to-ear. Celebrating their win, Orton and Wyatt were joined by Luke Harper in the ring. More so than ever before since Orton joined, the stable looked united.

If asked to pick survivors from the Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown match, it's unlikely many would have chosen Orton and Wyatt. For the first time in a long time, Bray was made to look strong on pay-per-view.
