2016 has been one hell of a weird year for celebrity deaths, movies, wrestling and, well, just about everything. Most fans tend to agree that it's been one of the best and strangest years for wrestling in quite some time, and that's totally typified by not just Brock's squash but pretty much the entirety of this PPV.

Much of it feels like the IWC directly booked it, given the ridiculous array of fan service (especially during the brilliantly over-booked climactic elimination match).

It's hard to imagine 2017 topping this level of (mostly) inspired insanity. We can only hope...
