WWE Survivor Series 2016 Eliminations - From Worst To Best
13. Kevin Owens
The men's elimination match was a long affair, but whilst this may have irritated sections of the audience it did mean that everyone was able to get some good stuff in and be eliminated in a meaningful manner. Well, everyone except the top champion on RAW that is.
Owens put in a good performance in the match, but his elimination was pure furthering of a storyline and nothing else. Owens was disqualified for smacking AJ Styles with The List. This seemed somewhat trivial a reason for disqualification when other individuals were going through tables, but there we go.
It did make the Universal Champion look somewhat like a chump unfortunately, and that is never a good thing.
12. Becky Lynch
A perplexing one this, but then that was most likely inevitable due to the way this match needed to end. SmackDown Live Women's Champion Becky Lynch was always going to go long in this match, and with Bayley & Charlotte needing to survive and continue their growing beef a showdown between Bayley and Lynch was inevitable.
Even so, it felt weird. Bayley's character isn't made for fighting from above, and her pinning the Lasskicker after a Bayley-to-Belly clean in the centre of the ring was also somewhat jarring. Would it not have made sense for Charlotte to clock Lynch behind Bayley's back?
Still, Bayley pinned the SmackDown Live Women's Champion and that must mean something further down the road.
