WWE Survivor Series 2017: Early Predictions For Team Owens Vs. Team Shane Participants

4. Team Owens - The Usos

There is a distinct shortage of elite heels on SmackDown’s singles roster. Minus Owens, only Baron Corbin might fall into this category, although not for long according to reports. Even the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal does not feel like a main-event calibre heel.

Owens is shopping at mid-card level unless he turns to the tag team division, where The Usos are tremendous heels and have been doing career-best work opposite The New Day.

Jimmy and Jey have been feuding with WWE’s longest ever reigning tag team champions since June and, while they have produced a series of great matches, this is a rivalry which needs to be finished by Survivor Series. If The Usos are dethroned before then, they will be free to join Team Owens, although their presence would be stronger with the belts.

Breezango and the newly-formed duo of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable may be queuing up for title shots, but any SmackDown Tag Team Championship match would probably be relegated to the pre-show, and The Usos would be put to much better use in Team Owens.

They are calculated and aggressive; attributes Owens would admire in partners. The team within a team dynamic would also strengthen KO’s hand, as his team is weaker on paper.
