WWE Survivor Series 2018: 7 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know

1. Shane McMahon Will Turn Full-Blown Heel

The Wrestling Observer has been noting how Shane McMahon's World Cup win at Crown Jewel earlier this month is all part of a slow-burning plan to turn him heel. According to Meltzer, it's a story that could take some time to blow off.

Fans on social media think otherwise. They believe Shane's full-blown turn to the dark side will be triggered at Survivor Series during the traditional Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown elimination match. Some have even guessed that he'll turn on Rey Mysterio and spark a feud with the returning masked man.

That's all rumour, but it would be a nice way to capitalise on fan annoyance towards calling McMahon the 'Best In The World' on recent broadcasts. Mysterio, who worked hard during the tournament, would rightly take umbrage at Shane swooping in to replace an injured Miz then flaunting the trophy like he earned it.

Another option (albeit a less likely one) would see Miz turning babyface against Shane. That could be easier to pull off now Daniel Bryan, Miz's long-standing rival, has turned heel.
