Result: Brock puts Bryan down with the F-5 (18:50).

Rating: How weird is it to see a heel-vs-heel main event, especially one featuring Daniel Bryan? This was a frustrating match in that the first half was a boring slog, but the final 10 minutes were absolutely terrific.

There was a ton of stalling in the early going before Brock pulled out his usual Suplex City shtick, with Daniel taking some utterly unnerving bumps.

This section of the match dragged on way too long, but things took a turn for the better after the ref spot, which was admittedly embarrassingly telegraphed.

It actually got competitive with Bryan wrestling smart, exploiting Brock's size against him and making the most of his own superior speed. There was genuine tension when Brock was caught in the Yes Lock, even if Brock's win was of course inevitable.

This was one of the weirdest main events in recent memory, if only because Bryan was booked like an underdog face despite being a heel, and the fact it capped Raw's 6-0 dominance over Smackdown (or 6-1, really).

The ending was a bit deflating but the back-half of the match saw both men putting in the work after a cynical and tedious opening half. Not a great main event, but it did what it needed to. 6/10
