WWE Survivor Series 2019: 10 Things That Must Happen
5. Killian Dain Gets The NXT Title Match
It's...kinda' weird that WWE are putting an NXT Title match on a pay-per-view obsessed with "brand supremacy". Suddenly, in amongst all this Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT stuff, people will be expected to press pause and watch two of the latter's finest rip one another to shreds.
If anyone, it has to be Killian Dain.
He hasn't done much invading on rival brands as of yet, whereas both Damian Priest and Pete Dunne have shown up on Mondays and Fridays. It makes sense then that they'll be part of Team NXT for one of the traditional Survivor Series matches rather than being shoved into a throwaway, card-filling title match for the sake of it.
WWE are needlessly booking themselves into a corner again with this one. Survivors doesn't need an NXT Title bout, and nobody would've complained had Cole led the NXT squad against Team Raw and Team SmackDown on the show. WWE should just get this over with, book a clean win for the champ and hope nobody invested on Wednesdays cares too much.
