Both Sami Zayn and Bobby Lashley are suffering from the Raw vs. SmackDown curse. This United States vs. Intercontinental Title showcase doesn't suit either of them right now, and not only because they both happen to be heel. A loss could be damaging to both men's prospects on their respective brands.

So, it shouldn't happen.

Zayn is good enough on the mic to sweet-talk his way out of the bout and into the traditional elimination situation. Team SmackDown still has one more slot open at time of writing; that's likely to be filled by someone on Friday, and there's no reason why it shouldn't be taken by Sami.

He'd be a fine addition to the heel-heavy crew, and that seems like a better spot for him than this heel vs. heel nonsense. Meanwhile, Lashley could get hot about it before MVP reminds him that a night off should be cherished. They've got (Hurt) Business to attend to anyway.
