WWE Survivor Series 2020: SmackDown Team Captain Revealed?
Here's who'll lead Team SmackDown in the men's elimination match.
Seth Rollins has declared himself Team SmackDown's captain for the traditional 5-on-5 men's elimination match at Survivor Series 2020.
The former Universal Champion did so during Saturday's episode of Talking Smack, saying the following (h/t Sportskeeda for the transcription):-
"Let’s be honest. I know everyone thinks they’re leading and that’s fair. I appreciate that, I like that gamesmanship. But the truth is there’s only one great leader, one great redeemer and that is me. I will be leading Team SmackDown – for the first time in my career, mind you, against Team RAW at Survivor Series."
Though this is Rollins' first time captaining the blue side (as he notes), he captained Team Raw against SD and NXT last year, with Keith Lee eliminating him in the second-to-last fall. SmackDown's Roman Reigns then felled 'The Limitless One' for the win.
Rollins will team with Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, King Corbin, and one more wrestler TBC against captain AJ Styles, Lee, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and another one 22 November. This year's Survivor Series sees the pay-per-view revert to the standard Raw vs. SmackDown format, with NXT wrestlers not involved despite winning more matches than any other side last year.
