WWE Taping Post-PPV Raw & SmackDown Shows BEFORE Backlash
Here's what WWE will get in the can next week.
WWE will be back at their Performance Center in Orlando, Florida for another busy series of tapings next week, with the current schedule showing that the promotion plans on recording the post-Backlash episodes of Raw and SmackDown before the pay-per-view itself.
Per a new report from Wrestling Inc., WWE aims to capture two weeks of television next week. The 8 and 15 June episodes of Raw will be covered, as will the 12 and 19 June SmackDown shows. A couple of NXT shows will also be shot at the same time along with 205 Live and Main Event. All of this will be done on Monday 8 June and Tuesday 9 June.
Staff will then be given some time off before the next set of tapings, which is currently set to commence on 22 June.
WWE's latest Performance Center run brought reports of an "exhausting" situation for the NXT/PC wrestlers brought in to provide crowd noise, many of whom were said to have been on their feet for 7-8 hours. It was also noted that the promotion's measures to keep the "audience" separate from the in-ring performers included bringing their own food and eating in a tent outside the building.
