WWE Teasing Heath Slater Going To Indies

What's next for the One Man Rock Band?

Heath Slater Draft

WWE posted an intriguing article on Wednesday discussing Heath Slater's apparent 'free agent' status following Tuesday night's WWE Draft, which saw Slater end the night at the only un-drafted active wrestler on the WWE roster.

The article, clearly written in a storyline manner, claims Slater is seeking work on the independent scene after being ignored by new Raw and SmackDown general managers Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan for a spot on their brands.

As of right now it is difficult to say whether this is WWE's plan for the Crimson Werewolf, but it certainly is an interesting move following his apparent snubbing. The article also posits that Slater could hang up his boots and move in front of the camera (he has a role in the upcoming 5th instalment of 'The Marine' movie series) or behind the microphone.

Slater has since responded to the article with a lengthy tweet, stating that he has no intention of hanging up his boots just yet, and that he has a whole lot to prove still.

So what next for the One Man Rock Band? As the man himself says, time will tell...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
