WWE: 10 Most Memorable Sweet Chin Music Moments

1. The Ultimate Betrayal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUsdTWsHc2U In the summer of 2005, the most memorable Sweet Chin Music moment passed before the eyes of the wrestling world as Shawn Michaels betrayed the ultimate WWE Legend, Hulk Hogan. The two wrestlers had recently paired up with each other as a one night only 'dream team' to wrestle the anti-American team of Muhammad Hussan and Davari at the post Wrestlemania pay per view Backlash. Yet as Summerslam loomed on the horizon Michaels found himself teaming with Hogan once again against Carlito and Kurt Angle. The match ended with a Hogan style Leg Drop after which Hogan and Michaels, to the delight of fans, worked the infamous Hogan pose down. Nobody expected anything else to happen. Nobody contemplated that anything devious or treacherous was about to take place. And then, from literally out of nowhere, Michaels hits Hogan straight in the face with Sweet Chin Music. The 'Real American' theme stops, the crowd falls quietly confused and all that can be heard on television sets across the world is good old JR in his Texas twang shouting, "Michaels just super kicked the hell out of Hogan!" Michaels had indeed super kicked Hogan in what can only be termed as the ultimate betrayal. Michaels was the babyface of Monday Night Raw, he was so over with the fans as a face that this heel turn was unprecedented and would prove to be the very last time fans would witness the legendary heat of heel Michaels. As such this Sweet Chin Music Moment has to be the most memorable because it was totally unexpected. Similar to the Janetty super kick or the kick to Triple H in 2009, this Sweet Chin Music was a complete surprise and was executed against the biggest wrestling star of all time. That is pretty much what defines the word memorable, and despite the many Sweet Chin Music Moments that have not featured on this list, it is this Sweet Chin Music Moment that will undoubtedly be remembered more than any other.
