WWE TLC 2017: Assessing The Potential Of All 7 Matches

2. Kalisto Vs. Enzo Amore - Cruiserweight Title Match

Is there a more uninspired pairing across the entire 205 Live roster than Kalisto Vs. Enzo Amore?

It doesn't matter at this point that, when on form, Kalisto is still capable of pulling off a very good match - as we were sadly reminded on this week's RAW, he lacks the all-round game to portray himself as a credible talent. His promo work opposite Enzo was an almost cruel mismatch; Kalisto regained his aura as a botch merchant when he forgot that he was the Cruiserweight champion. His promotion was so sudden - and let's be honest, so undeserved - that he probably can't be blamed for literally not believing in himself. The popularity of Rey Mysterio has so much to answer for. It was around this time last year that Kalisto was awarded a shot for the same title, despite there being several Cruiserweight Class participants with the freshness and credibility to make something better of it.

As for Enzo, he's Enzo. We're in for more of the same hiding and stalling that has come to define an Enzo Amore cruiserweight match.

WWE is excellent at adding layers to a match in order to obscure the lack of genuine talent within it. Hopefully, we're in for an interference-laden spectacle, as opposed to a straight face vs. heel bout in which few really care about the former.
