Only Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles or Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka belonged in the main event slot on Sunday night. Due to the lack of a stipulation in the former, it was the latter's time to shine. The women had the aid of the TLC gimmick, and they were fired up to show why there's been some buzz over a possible 'Mania headliner.

If that doesn't happen, there's no shame. All three can look back on matches such as this one and know they were the pay-per-view's main hook. Lynch was super-over with fans, Charlotte did her best to bite back at the same people and Asuka quietly went about her aura's own self-healing process in the background.

Everything worked.

The bumps were mighty enough, the weapons shots satisfyingly savage and the fan response fitting for a match chosen to close out the show. On a night that wasn't solely centred around them, SmackDown's women left the lasting impression.
