WWE TLC 2020: 10 Nightmares That Could Happen
5. They Go Too Heavy On The Gimmicks Generally
WWE already has two big TLC matches lined up for Sunday, and that's enough. They don't need to split that three-pronged attack up into individual matches that dilute the excitement of both the WWE and Universal Title situations. What's the point?
Michael Cole harped on about Extreme Rules being the "one night a year WWE goes Extreme" over the summer. That buzzword-laden tagline will only look even more foolish if almost every match at TLC carries some sort of hardcore-ish stip. The show doesn't need a ladder, tables or chairs contest.
It really, really, really doesn't.
A 'less is more' approach would be for the best. Everyone knows that Drew McIntyre vs. AJ Styles and Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens will be fun romps through flashy spots, but WWE don't need to over-egg the pudding elsewhere.
