WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (April 13)
3. Samuel Shaw - Fun While It Lasted
Recently, Christy Hemme became a member of TNA's creative team (as well as helping out with costume duties, which really, I think we can all agree is TNA's biggest problem right now. I mean, have you seen Ethan Carter's trunks?), and suddenly she's eating up TV time. Isn't that a bit of a coincidence? This past edition of Impact, she ate up her biggest amount of TV time yet when she tricked psychopath Samuel Shaw into the ring by wanting to talk about "commitment." Now, anyone watching knew she was referring to him being committed, as in going to a mental hospital. Sure enough, that's where it went. In an embarrassingly acted segment, Hemme tricked Shaw to close his eyes for what felt like an hour while Mr. Anderson pulled up in a white van to haul him away. Luckily, Shaw escaped this attempted kidnapping attempt and ran off into the night. Well, Shaw's character appears to be done for. Imagine if that exact same segment happened in WWE with Bray Wyatt and Lillian Garcia. He'd lose all the heat he'd built up the past few months. I'm not comparing the direct talent of the two, I'm just saying that TNA should be protecting him. He's gone from creepy in-ring threat to pathetic in no time flat. TNA has been letting many of their biggest names go, and bringing in new guys isn't going to do them any good if they push them this poorly. Now that's just crazy!
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
