Things are sure heating up in WWE as we have finally made it to SummerSlam. If pro wrestling was food, wed have ourselves a well cooked steak. In TNA, things have heated to kind of a medium-rare sort of steak...well, maybe not so much a steak as an under-cooked dollar menu burger. While the company has been surprisingly decent the past month or so, time may be running out for them to make a big play. Im sorry to say, but I dont think Team 3D vs. The Hardy Boyz in 2014 is going to be what saves them. While each company is in vastly different financial situations, its an important time for both of them. TNA has to justify their existence quickly, and WWE has Network subscriptions coming up. And if I hear $9.99 one more time, Im going to buy pay-per-views at full price out of spite. Take that Hunter! This week we also witnessed WWE completely give up on Bo Dallas (an impressive 50 second loss to Jack Swagger on SmackDown), Roman Reigns scream the last word of every sentence he spoke, and Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez accuse HHH of making disparaging and possibly racist remarks to them. Well, on the bright side, we didnt have to see inside of Adam Roses head again. Lets not waste any more time, though. Pick up your volleyball, grab a few cold ones, and lets have a bash at the beach as we celebrate wrestlings worst of the week!
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
