WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Mar. 16)

3. The Wind In The Willow

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhhMnh7KrEM Willow. Go away. That is all. Well, okay I'll expand on that a bit. I mean, it's one thing to rip off the Wyatt Family videos by creating a new character, but it's a whole other thing to do it with Jeff Hardy. At 36, Hardy is the same age as John Cena. And like Cena, he's the most marketable guy in the entire company. If Cena put on a mask and pretended he was Pillow, people would rightfully be confused. Hardy switching up his character this far into his career was like when Hulk Hogan became Mr. America. This just isn't going to work. First off, everyone admits that it's Jeff Hardy, he just goes by Willow now as his alter ego. He likes to dress similar to Hardy, but the only differences are that he puts on a mask and screams a lot. It's pretty annoying actually. It's hard to imagine, but at one time, Hardy was probably the second most over babyface in all of wrestling. TNA quickly mismanaged that fact when he joined their company, and didn't tap into his full potential. However, Hardy has been one of the few true moneymakers in TNA history when it comes to merchandise and house show attendance. So why screw that up? If Hardy wants to play dress up, let him do it in his wrestling company OMEGA. But the purpose of TNA should be to make money, not hire people just to screw around. At least it should be...but after Sting's late career turn into The Joker and MVP pretending he's the owner, I'm not sure what the purpose of the company is anymore.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
