WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Mar. 23)

2. The St. Patrick's Day Massacre

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0D8-C3t_iU Sheamus is Irish. I get it. No, seriously WWE, I get it. He dresses in green, his finishing move is named after his accent, and he constantly talks about grabbing a pint after the show. If he could tone it down a bit, he would actually be a little more realistic and less cartoonish. Instead, WWE goes in the exact opposite direction by pairing him up with a former leprechaun for the night, and taking part in a St. Patrick's Day street fight. You knew this wasn't going to be good. If the visual of Titus O'Neill in a red beard didn't make you double over in laughter, then you must not be Vince McMahon. Besides how ridiculous the idea of the match was, why did Titus have to be put in that role? Because his last name sounds Irish? Man, when WWE gives up on someone, they give up on them fast (see Brodus Clay's recent heel turn and disappearance off of the face of the earth for further example) Titus just broke away from the Primetime Players not long ago, and could use some clean wins to build up his character. Jobbing to Sheamus with zero build doesn't do him an favors, and having a little person thrown into his crotch is actually a pretty significant step backwards.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
