WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sep 21)

1. What The Heel?

Most of my complaints this week center around the fact of WWE pushing their heels so, so poorly. Now call me old fashioned if you must, but isn€™t one of the big draws of ordering a pay-per-view seeing the babyfaces get their revenge? WWE went in the exact opposite direction this entire week. Rusev got beat down Raw. Rollins lost. Bo Dallas lost. Lesnar €œretreated.€ Kane lost after hitting his arm on the turnbuckle. Bray Wyatt tapped out. Rowan and Harper were double chokeslammed. Cesaro, Goldust and Stardust took the fall. Miz and Sandow lost too. Basically out of the nine matches on Raw, seven of them were won by faces. The only two heels that won were in the women€™s matches. This theme continued on SmackDown when Stardust lost cleanly, and then Sheamus€™ team won a six man tag. Cesaro sure doesn't feel like a threat to him now. Sure, Harper and Rowan finally won a match against The Big Show (after losing to him in one form or another in 11 straight TV matches, for the love of God!), but only because Show was apparently so confident after winning every match up that he asked Los Matadores to team up with him. It still took 11 minutes for the eater of worlds to beat two fake bullfighters. The end of SmackDown saw Seth Rollins€™ plan to attack Roman Reigns from behind backfire, and then Mark Henry easily dispose of Rusev again. How did any of that make people want to see the pay-per-view more? To see Henry get even more revenge on his Russian counterpart? Leave him alone Hentry, the man has had enough! Every heel has had enough! And I think I have too. Time to kick out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
