WWE Top 10 Royal Rumble Fails

4. Randy Savage Goes For A Pinfall At The Death (Royal Rumble 1993)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAHW4hWvut8 This moment actually happened at the very end of the 1993 Royal Rumble. It wasn't a star studded match because the mid 1990s in WWE wasn't the greatest in terms of having a stacked roster. However, the final two men in the match were main event level players. The final showdown featured the legendary Randy Savage and the big man known as Yokozuna. Yokozuna was the 27th man in the match while Savage was the last man at 30. Savage took a beating from Yokozuna that included a superkick. Savage came back, though. That's what we loved about him - that fighting spirit. The problem is that Savage made a mistake when he had the advantage. After Yokozuna missed a corner splash and landed flat on his back, Savage went up to the top rope. He jumped off the top with his patented Flying Elbow drop. The crowd went wild for it. The problem is that after Savage hit the move he went for a cover. There are no pinfalls in the Rumble match, so Yoko capitalized on that mistake by shoving Yokozuna off his chest and Savage went flying over the top rope. Randy Savage had many memorable and great moments in his WWE career. Going for a pinfall attempt in the Royal Rumble was not one of them.
