WWE: Top 8 Japanese Wrestlers From The Past 30 Years
6. Mr. Fuji
The Devious One might have been billed from Japan, but he was born in Hawaii. Still, as a Japanese-American who attained a great deal of success as a wrestler and a manager, Fuji deserve a great deal of credit. After all, he led Demolition to tag team gold and steered Yokozuna to the WWE Championship twice, plus hes a five-time tag champ himself. Mr. Fujis list of clients reads as a Whos Who in the 80s and 90s: Magnificent Muraco (and their awesome Fuji Vice videos), Demolition, Powers of Pain, Kamala, Orient Express, Yokozuna and Owen Hart. Fuji might have been born in the United States, but it was his Japanese heritage that brought him to great heights in WWE. He was a great all-around performer who entertained fans even if he looked like his character was inspired by a James Bond movie villain.
Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fondly remembers watching WrestleMania III, IV, V and VI and Saturday Night's Main Event, came back to wrestling during the Attitude Era, and has been a consumer of sports entertainment since then. He's written for WhatCulture for more than a decade, establishing the Ups and Downs articles for WWE Raw and WWE PPVs/PLEs and composing pieces on a variety of topics.
