WWE Total Divas Moving To Tuesdays On July 7

Same night as Tough Enough.

The schedule for E Network was sent out via a press release today and with it comes news for the fourth season of WWE's hit reality show on the E Network: Total Divas. For the previous three seasons, the show aired on Sunday nights. Starting on July 7 it's moving to Tuesday nights at 9pmET/8pmCT. A Tuesday night airing of Total Divas is interesting because WWE Tough Enough will start two weeks earlier on June 23 on USA Network at 8pmET/7pmCT. That means there will be two WWE shows back to back on two different networks. Both of them are part of the NBC Universal family of networks, so it's not an accident that they are airing back to back. WWE must be happy with the move because in past seasons when the show was on Sundays there would be weeks where it competed with live WWE PPV events. Now that it airs on Tuesday nights, WWE fans can focus just on Total Divas if they choose to do so. By setting up WWE's two reality series this way, it will lead to WWE promoting new programming that airs four nights per week on different outlets. There's Raw on USA Network on Monday nights, Tough Enough on USA/Total Divas on E on Tuesdays, NXT's new episodes as well as Takeover specials on Wednesdays and then Smackdown on Thursdays, which currently airs on Syfy although a move to USA Network has already been announced for January. The cast for this season of Total Divas is mostly the same: The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella), Natalya, Naomi, Alicia Fox, Paige, and Eva Marie. The changes in the cast are that Cameron is off after being on the first three season while Rosa Mendes is also off after being there last year. Meanwhile, Naomi is back after being off last season. No word on why they did the changes other than wanting to freshen things up. The Bellas, Natalya and Eva Marie have been on since the first season while Alicia Fox and Paige were added last season. While the show is not for every WWE fan and has a lot of silliness on it, there's no denying that the "reality TV" show is a big hit for WWE and it will continue without any signs of slowing down. WWE hopes that Tough Enough can be as successful so that they have two reality shows that are money makers for them.
