As good as the tournament is going to be, the problem with exclusively presenting up-and-coming talent is that there is little to no star power fueling the event. Sure, a small number of fans will be familiar with a handful of the wrestlers, but the majority of fans will be newly introduced to the trans-Atlantic competitors.
One way to combat this issue is by having some recognizable faces at the event in a non-wrestling capacity. Former Universal Champion Finn Balor has already made it known that he will be attending the event; however, he shouldn’t be the only star fans expect to see during the tournament.
Triple H loves to make his presence felt at WWE Network events. As recently as the Cruiserweight Classic, Trips appeared to present TJ Perkins with his newly won title. It’s reasonable to expect more of the same this weekend, particularly as he has already being spotted in the UK.
William Regal can also be considered a lock to show up at the event. Perhaps he will be announced for the WWE Hall of Fame this weekend?
