WWE United Kingdom Championship 2018: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
7. Quarter-Finals: Gentleman Jack Gallagher Vs. Zack Gibson
Result: Gallagher taps to Gibson's Shankly Gates top wristlock (13:28).
Rating: The tournament kicked off with a lot of slower ground work in the early going, but Gallagher's wiry in-ring chicanery is always fun to watch and compensated for Gibson's more sedate, deliberate style. Gallagher's float-over into the sleeper was especially fantastic.
This felt like it was over several times with Gibson's offence, to his credit, and though he didn't initially convince that he was worthy of besting Gallagher, he became a far more plausible contender after the slightly awkward opening stretch.
The pacing could've been tighter, but a very solid start to the tournament all the same. 7/10
