WWE United Kingdom Championship: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

6. First Round: Danny Burch Vs. Jordan Devlin

Mark Andrews Pete Dunne

Result: Devlin nails Burch with a Roundhouse Kick for the win (8:55).

Rating: This one was really fluid and dynamic from the outset, and either competitor could've won and kept the crowd happy (even though Devlin was talked-up as a Balor protege which helped his case immensely).

There were definitely too many sleeper holds for what's basically a sprint-type match, but the final sequence was thrilling even if that botched ending made Devlin's victory feel a bit hollow, at least when he seemed like he was a face.

A blood-soaked Burch came out of it looking strong in defeat, and though the sloppy end was a shame, Devlin papered over it when he went full-heel by flooring Burch post-match. They made the best of a bad situation and it didn't ruin the match. Bravo to both men. 7/10
