Natalya turned on ex-protege Maxxine Dupri during Dupri's match vs. Becky Lynch on Monday's edition of flagship show Raw. Mid-bout, Nattie knowingly draped Becky's foot across the bottom rope to stop Maxxine from winning. Then, a distracted Dupri fell victim to Lynch's 'Manhandle Slam' and stared at the lights.

The fun didn't stop there. Entering the ring, Natalya berated Maxxine then put her in the sharpshooter. The stalwart, who has been screaming to bring this heel edge to WWE screens for a while, refused to let go as Dupri sold the attack. It proved to be a really strong segment for both.

WWE can point to several upsides here. Firstly, Lynch retained and can draw a line under her issues with Maxxine. Second, Dupri exits the feud in a much better place than she was going in. Third, she already has a ready-made rivalry with her former mentor Nattie, and the story will help the stalwart Canadian too.

Natalya has clearly fancied playing the 'Lowkey Legend' persona she's used outside WWE on episodes of Raw or SmackDown. That guise has grabbed the future Hall Of Famer some notoriety in groups like AAA and GCW, but hadn't been seen before now on mainline WWE programming.

Previously, during a chat with Chris Van Vliet, Nattie had revealed that she'd love to go rogue on TV and show what she can do in that role. Now, it looks like she'll get that chance.

A few bouts opposite Natalya will be hugely beneficial in Dupri's remarkable rise as a wrestler too.
