Ultimately, the stars of WWE and AEW are risking their safety for our entertainment. This is the core premise of this very industry, but never has it been executed with such unwavering commitment.
So what if that Andrade Vs. Rey Mysterio match was mid by their standards: only pro wrestling is putting on a show right now. Even when there's little to like, imagine liking anything else.
AEW would be wise to consider the health of the veterans that otherwise lend the show a dignified gravitas. Our fleeting, conflicted entertainment is not worth the risk. Were they to read this, they would very likely bristle. Who am I to tell them?

WWE is deeply weird right now, almost laughably so, but there is, for once, a method to the blandness - but if the decision is made to promote live matches, make them count, else it is a complete waste. WWE's main roster has needed to put a donk on its TV matches for a while now. What better time than now?
