WWE: What's Next For The Stars Of Wrestlemania 29?
Fandango I think I was alone when I described Fandango's match with Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania as garbage. To me he seemed sloppy, green and on more than one occasion was out of position making Jericho's offence look just as messy. Amazingly the next night on Monday Night RAW Fandango was the talk of the town and the crazy crowd in attendance (who also chanted for RVD and Chris Benoit) took it upon themselves to hum his theme tune throughout the show. For reasons known only to God Fandango was over and WWE knew it. So over was Fandango in fact that his theme tune even made it into the top 10 of the iTunes download chart but by week's end failed to make it into the famed Top 40. Stone Cold Steve Austin said he foresees Fandango winning the Intercontinental Championship by year's end and if he continues to stay as over as he was this week then that's a definite possibility. Personally if WWE are going to run with this whole Fandango experiment then I'd like to see them slowly phase out his dancing gimmick much like they did for Dolph Ziggler. After his abysmal debut and following a few character tweaks Dolph became the show off we all know and love and the same could happen for Johnny Curtis' alter ego if the WWE manages to capitalise on his rise. So where do we see Fandango in the next six months? How about as a mid card champion hot off an exciting feud with RVD? Stranger things have happened in WWE.
