WWE: Why CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan 'Iron Man Match' Must Happen

Why the dream match should take place for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 29 next year.

When Jerry Lawler tapped out to the Yes-lock on the April 30 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, a collective emotion was felt among wrestling fans: jubilant disbelief. Were they really doing this? Are they really going to have CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan headline a WWE pay-per-view for the most prestigious championship in all of wrestling? Bryan could answer that question himself better than anyone. Though it was a short buildup with only three weeks between Extreme Rules and Over the Limit, the match sold itself. I still affirm that the card was stacked brilliantly - with the main feud of John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis bringing in the younger crowd whose parents could buy the show for them, Punk vs. Bryan was for the ones who had already grown up and perhaps even followed their careers on the independent scene. They proceeded to tear the house down in a 25 minute classic that drew acclaim from broadcasters, wrestlers and fans all over the world. The ending, of course, left the opening for the growing feud to continue, and we are now in the middle of the best feud/rivalry/storyline currently going in wrestling. AJ Lee is the best actor in WWE right now, and you can see how working with talent like Punk and Bryan has - no pun - lit a fire under Kane and brought out speed in the ring that we haven't seen from him in years. I'm left waiting for the next episode of Raw or Smackdown each time a new segment or match involving the four takes place. In the middle of this is the constant speculation that CM Punk and Daniel Bryan could wrestle an Iron Man match. There have been seven in WWE, and they have only involved the absolute best on the roster at the time: Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Rock, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton and John Cena. As much as I and the rest of the fans would love to see this, there are a few things standing in the way. Click "next" below to read part 2...
