WWE: When Will The Miz And Summer Rae Return?

The Miz and Summer Rae have been filming The Marine 4 in Vancouver since early April. Neither one has appeared on WWE programming since they started filming aside from Summer's appearances on Total Divas, which have been taped months in advance. Reports have stated that both of them are expected to return this month. In the case of former WWE Champion The Miz, he's scheduled for the European tour that begins this week. There are two different groups touring with one group heading to Europe on Tuesday and the other on Wednesday. No word on if Miz will be there for the whole tour that nearly runs two weeks or if he would join midway. It will be interesting to see if WWE's creative team has anything planned for The Miz upon his return whether it's this week on Raw, in Europe or possibly at the June 1 Payback event. He was a non-factor at the battle royal at WrestleMania. He went from headlining WrestleMania a couple of years ago to barely being on the show this year. You would think that management would be high on him considering he's been in WWE movies and does a great job representing the company in public, but from a character standpoint he hasn't done much. Perhaps being away for over a month will help the career of The Miz. Bringing him back as a heel would likely be the best option because he clearly flopped in the babyface role. As for Summer Rae, it's not known if she's slated for the European tour although if the filming of the movie is done then it's likely that she will be there at some point. It looks like Summer has a ready made feud with Layla when she returns. After Fandango dumped Summer, he started bringing out Layla as his dance partner and this week on Smackdown he kissed Layla after his match too. It might be a mistake to do a Summer vs. Layla feud because Summer is good in the heel role. There are also a lack of heel divas in WWE right now, so it might be best to keep her as a heel when she comes back.
